Philémon Julien

Philémon holds a bachelor’s degree in sexology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical sexology. As part of his internship, he chose a psychodynamic approach informed by a systemic, intersectional, and trans-feminist perspective on diverse life experiences.

Above all, Philémon seeks to build a genuine bond of trust with his clients—a bond that fosters mutual understanding and a sense of being supported throughout the therapeutic process.

He believes in every individual’s capacity for self-determination over their own lives and actively seeks to foster agency in the people who come to him for counseling.

Throughout his professional career, he has taken a particular interest in interpersonal challenges, consensual non-monogamy, BDSM practices, and gender diversity.

His professional experience working with families of at-risk youth has also led him to specialize in family dynamics and their impact on the individual. His professional experience also includes working with clients from immigrant and non-white cultural backgrounds.
