Fees

Starting Sept. 2026

The Mestra Clinic will adjust its rates in two ways:

  • Changes to the criteria for each tier. These criteria are becoming more qualitative and flexible and less focused on a salary threshold.
  • Addition of a higher tier, which is optional and can be modified at any time. This is intended to ensure the long-term sustainability of services with tiered pricing.

Sliding-Scale Fee

The clinic’s professionals understand that it is essential to offer affordable sexological and psychosocial services in order to promote access for everyone. The Mestra Clinic therefore offers a sliding-scale fee program for its target clientele*, meaning that the fee for each session is determined based on your financial situation.

* Please see the list of our target clienteles in the blue box at the bottom of the page.

How it works

The fee scale has four tiers. You can select the one that best fits your situation and discuss it with your professional at the start of your sessions. If your situation changes during the process, you can talk to your professional about adjusting the tier up or down, depending on your new circumstances.

You'll find all the details about each tier, along with a quiz to help guide you, below.

This tier is intended for those who best meet the criteria for the “Stable” tier but who wish to contribute to the sustainability of sliding-scale services. This tier allows us to maintain services at lower tiers for those who are most marginalized.

The Community Care tier is entirely voluntary for those who benefit from our sliding-scale pricing. You can also stop your solidarity contribution at any time during your care without it affecting your therapeutic process.

If you do not fall into one of the target clientele for tiered pricing (see the list below), we offer services at this tier.

You're unsure which tier best corresponds to your situation?

Please note that some team members offer 75-minute sessions.

If you would like a longer session, or if your professional determines that a longer session would be appropriate and offers it to you, please note that the rate selected from the scale will then be multiplied by 1.5, for a total of $105 / $135 / $165 / $195 for individual sessions and $120 / $150 / $180 / $210 for couples/polycules/family sessions.

* Target clientele:

  • 2SLGBTQIAP+ people
  • people who have alternative relational or sexual modes: BDSM, consensual non-monogamy
  • people who work in the sex industry
  • BIPOC
  • people belonging to neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD, gifted/intellectual disability, dyslexia, etc.)

People who do not belong to our target client groups can still access our services by paying the “Community Care” rate, with the goal of reserving as many slots as possible with our professionals for marginalized individuals.
